About this site
This site ranks five nano-hydroxyapatite toothpastes that I bought on US Amazon and brushed with myself. I am a student dermatologist. What toothpaste and products like it do to the body is my subject, and I study it for a company I am not free to name.
Why I ranked five toothpastes
I flew back for my study work. Comparing nano-hydroxyapatite toothpastes was my own idea and not part of the job. I wanted to know what they do at an ordinary bathroom sink, so I bought Boka, Davids Hydroxi, Mouthology, Himalaya Whitening+, and RiseWell myself on US Amazon and brushed with each one for 90 days, 450 days in all.
How I check a toothpaste
I read the nHA percent on the label before I buy, and I judge the flavor and the foam after buying. At home I run four checks on each paste: its pH in a paste-and-water slurry, the foam it makes in water, how it streaks across black paper, and how much paste stays stuck in the tube. I photographed my own front teeth every day with a macro lens, before food and after food, and the 90-day before-and-after frames are on the home page.
How this site earns money
As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. I paid for every toothpaste I ranked.
